Getting around
Within the cities, tuk tuks and motorcycle taxis are common for getting around. In Bangkok, Thailand’s largest city, you can also take the MRT (subway) or the BTS Skytrain. Songthaews (pick-up trucks) are another option in smaller towns.
For covering long distances, buses and trains are your best option. Both are slow but affordable. If you’re visiting the Thai islands, taking the ferry is an inexpensive way to get around.
Hi Amanda! I just wanted to let you know, that my girlfriends and I just got back from Thailand and your blogs posts provided a lot of inspiration for my planning. Every time we did something really cool, the girls were like where did you find this?! And it was always from your blog! Great tips, love it, thank you so much!
That is so awesome to hear, Heather! Thanks for letting me know – I’m so glad my blog was so helpful!
