Wales has a lot of legends associated with it and its history, from dragons to magic swords to holy drinking vessels. Including Merlin, King Arthur and the Holy Grail.

Culture

The Welsh language dates back thousands of years, and is likely the oldest language in Britain. Tolkien also based one of his versions of the Elvish language on Old Welsh.

Wales has amazing scenery, from rolling hills to coastlines and roads that are often littered with sheep. Try visiting Snowdonia National Park and explore the amazing hiking trails.

You can do things like surfing and whitewater rafting in frigid mountain water or you can also fly down a mountainside on a bike or hurtle over old quarries on zip lines.
